So far I have shot and upped three tarot deck reviews and am just now getting to grips with the concept of cross-posting, which is to say posting cross-platforms with a single upload. I’m not sure if wordpress integrates this ability or if there is a plugin available for it yet but I will be investigating this. In the meantime I will simply use the available media blocks in the editor.
The first short (for this format they are all designed to be ten minutes or under in length, perfect for the longer available format of TikTok, and the ‘reels’ format on Instagram and Facebook) is more of a test pilot, and I will definitely be reshooting this for YouTube. All the more so since the Sola Busca Tarot historical reproduction by Lo Scarabeo is one of my absolute favourite decks. This review appears only on TikTok.
The second attempt, and what I will count as my first proper review, was for the Idle Hands Tarot and was posted in two slightly different versions across multiple platforms. Here is the Instagram edition.
The third (or second proper) review focused on the Bianco Nero Tarot deck. The Instagram version is below.
There’s likely to be another short in the works in the coming week, cooler temperatures, air conditioning and alleviation of hay fever permitting. I feel that I am gaining in presentational and editorial confidence and it may not be long before I relaunch these reviews in longer, more in-depth format. I feel like I do need to remember to address myself to the camera more frequently and consistently however.
